2019年9月，前进社区列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2026年1月获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

平沙世外桃源休闲度假农场位于前进生态社区，毗邻海泉湾度假城，园区3000亩，分设桃花源、归园田居、玫瑰园等十个主题区域。[2]
