南水社区是珠海市金湾区南水镇下辖的社区，位于镇中心，镇政府所在地一带，属涉农社区。[1][2]“南水”之名来自清光绪年间设立的南水墟，社区由此承袭了镇名。[2]

地名由来[edit]

此处明代尚在海中，叫“浪白”，是一个天然良港，名“浪白澳”。以澳为界，南面称南水，北面称北水。1878年（清光绪四年），渔获交易日趋兴旺，浪白开了一处“南水墟”，南水的名称自此固定下来。[2]

据百度百科，社区下含南水、南郊、海安等经济联社和南水街，常住人数记为16575人（该条未注年份）。[1]社区于2014年通过综合减灾示范社区验收；2020年建成睦邻中心，开展居家养老和卫生服务；2021年成为广东省“民主法治示范社区”的创建单位；2023年对祥环花园等老旧小区实施改造，加装电梯、修缮屋面防水。[1]
