莲花社区在珠海市香洲区横琴镇内，是2020年从小横琴社区分出的社区，位于横琴岛沿澳门的一侧，辖区约17.5平方公里。[1][2]社区以澳门特别行政区的区花莲花命名，居民中有不少澳门人。[1][3]

设立[edit]

据博雅地名网，2020年6月23日香洲区民政局发文，把小横琴社区分为小横琴和莲花两个社区。[2]广东省委港澳办网站2021年2月的报道说，莲花社区是2020年新增设的、以服务澳门居民为主的社区，党群服务中心当时还在筹建，预计2021年内建成。[4]而《南方》杂志说，居委会是在2021年1月才正式挂牌成立。[3]

横琴岛的社区工作由合作区的社区工作党委领导，莲花社区党委在这一框架下开展工作。[3]

人口与居民[edit]

《南方》杂志2022年6月的报道称：社区有户籍1821户、4712人；常住人口约2万，含澳门居民500余人；全社区划为7个网格。[3]博雅地名网另写澳门居民约占常住人口的三分之一，两处数字相差较大。[2]

琴澳合作的社区服务[edit]

社区居委会同时挂有「莲花社区党群服务中心」和「澳门街坊会联合总会广东办事处」两块牌子。[3]中心为澳门居民提供社会保险的咨询和办理，并设长者饭堂，常住横琴的澳门长者可以享受与本地户籍居民相同的优惠补贴。[3]2022年3月，社区在两个小区试点开展居民议事协商。[3]
