葵涌社区是葵涌街道的9个社区之一，街道的名称就取自这里。辖区面积11.9平方千米，其中约11.3平方千米是径心水库周边的山林地。[1]

名称由来[edit]

传说古时此地河涌交错、盛产水葵，有麦姓女子携二子途经，一子中暑，采水葵（莼）煮食而愈，一家遂定居下来，「葵涌」之名由此而来。[1]

辖区[edit]

社区内有上径心、下径心和铁屎湖三个因径心水库建设而形成的移民村，有葵兴、金兴、石下三个小区，另有五片居民住宅区：石榴、上角、油榨、欧新，以及分南北两片的担水圳。[1] 社区工作站所在的延安路6号即是其办公地址。[1] 据介绍，这里住着约1.7万人，建有767栋楼房，开设商铺365间，另有一家大型超市（年份未注明）。[1]

荣誉[edit]

葵涌社区在2022年3月入选首批深圳市绿色（宜居）社区，认定单位是深圳市住房和建设局。[1]
