名称由来[edit]
这里地势较高，大林坑河和径心河都发源于境内、绕村而过，故称高源。[1]
沿革[edit]
博雅地名网转述的沿革说，这片土地自秦代起依次划归番禺、博罗、宝安、东尧、新安等郡县。东江纵队司令员曾生在抗日战争和解放战争初期带兵在此驻扎，并建起根据地。[1] 建国后，1949年10月到1951年11月属惠阳县第四区。[1]
社区概况[edit]
全社区约6000人，户籍居民只有463人，多数是外来流动人口；邻近葵涌、三溪、葵新、坝光等社区，附近工业区多，以比亚迪汽车公司最大。[2] 社区设有股份合作公司和2个小型工业区，居民每年领取股份分红；辖内有警务室、社康中心、星宇学校和高源公园等设施。[2] 社区保留了少量古巷老屋，但随着本地人口外流和旧屋拆迁，客家话只在本地人中通行。[2] 2022年8月，成为第二批深圳市绿色（宜居）社区。[1]
