盐田社区是广东省深圳市宝安区西乡街道西南部的社区，面积1平方公里，名称源于古时在此造田晒盐。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

地名的由来，是古时这里曾造田晒盐。[1]

盐田先是共乐村下的自然村。1995年11月共乐村委会拆成共和、盐田、乐群三个，盐田由此设村委会；2004年8月城市化改制，转为社区居委会。[1]

地理环境与人口[edit]

社区在街道西南，管辖1平方公里：东以西乡大道为界，南通西乡中心区，西与固戍社区相邻，北依铁仔山，包括银田工业区、金海路沿线和盐田主街。户籍原居民只有456人，而辖区内居住的总人口约12万。[2]

社区党支部书记兼任股份合作公司董事长；股份公司管理工厂、商业、道路等事务，居委会则管理村民住宅和商品房小区。[2]
