盐田社区在深圳市盐田区盐田街道的东部，四至为：东面盐田港三期，西面平盐铁路，南面避风塘河道，北面盐坝高速公路。[1] 因临海，过去引海水晒盐，故称盐田。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

盐田墟镇村委会成立于1984年；到1992年，深圳农村转为城市，它变成盐田墟居委会。其后1999年6月改称盐田居委会，2002年6月再改成现在的盐田社区居民委员会。[1]

人口民族[edit]

社区约3平方千米，划为5个居民小组，名为渔村、沙头村、山边村、华侨新村和墟镇。现有居民11538人，户籍的占1830人，其余9708人是流动人口。[1]

经济[edit]

社区内的海鲜街和配套的海鲜批发市场远近闻名。[1] 2022年8月，社区被认定为「第二批深圳市绿色（宜居）社区」；2019年9月，进入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
