新湖村是广东省韶关市南雄市湖口镇所辖的行政村，村委会在镇政府以北约7公里，与珠玑镇、邓坊镇相邻。[1]村内有宋代所建的回龙寺塔，为「广东省文物保护单位」。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村名一说取“新屋”的“新”与赤溪湖的“湖”，一说此地原有一处较深的小湖，村委会靠湖而建。[1]1953年属新湖乡，1954年成立初级社，1956年改高级社；1963年新湖大队吸收公坑、罗田两个大队；1983年改乡，1988年改管理区，1998年撤区设村委会。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

据村情资料（未注明年份），全村758户3325人，辖区面积9303亩，耕地2625亩，下设20个村小组，黄烟田856亩，另种水稻1480亩和花生458亩。[1]2023年5月获评「2022年广东省卫生村」；2026年1月获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

回龙寺塔在罗田一带，始建于宋代，为风水塔，是南雄现存较古老的砖塔之一；2011年修复竣工，2012年列为「广东省文物保护单位」。[2]
