坪田坳村是南雄市油山镇北部的行政村，据博雅地名网所载村情，全村辖11个村民小组、6个自然村。[1]

地名由来[edit]

“坪田坳”本是一座山的名字：这里南北两面各有一道上坳，东面是高山，西面有小河，河水流入大源河，位置在山坳之上，村名由此而来。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年成立农会，1954年改为初级社，1955年转为高级社，1960年称大队，1983年改乡，1988年改管理区，1998年12月起改设村民委员会，成立村民委员会。[1]

经济与荣誉[edit]

村域面积15.85平方千米，耕地2922亩，山地22869亩，有林地19044亩，经济林以毛竹为主。[1] 2019年9月，该村榜上有名，入选「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」。[1]
