莲山村在南雄市油山镇西北部，是镇辖行政村，下设15个村民小组、14个自然村。[1]
地名由来[edit]
村内山峰相连，起初叫“连山”，后来“连”字改用同音的“莲”，写作莲山。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
莲山在1949年设农会，1955年建初级社，次年升为高级社，1960年成为大队；此后依次是1983年的莲山乡、1988年的管理区，1998年12月起改设村民委员会。[1]
自然条件[edit]
据博雅地名网，村域面积18.25平方千米，耕地2973亩，山地22759.5亩，林木有松、杉、竹，经济林以毛竹为主。[1]
