油山社区是南雄市油山镇政府驻地所在的社区，在镇域南部。[1] 其前身是大塘居委会，2000年大塘镇并入油山镇时改为现名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

社区原称大塘居委会；2000年，大塘镇并入油山镇，居委会随之更名为油山居委会，沿用至今。[1]

地名由来[edit]

社区名与镇名同源。当地传说，古时油山东侧有座净明院，院子右边的一个石洞会流出食油，寺里的僧人靠它度日，山和社区因此得名。[2]
