老龙社区是南雄市坪田镇镇政府所在的社区，位于镇中心区[1][2]。它的居委会由原新龙、坪田两处圩镇的居委会并成，名称来自当地旧有的老龙庙[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

新龙镇曾单独设镇，其后划入坪田镇，两处圩镇的居委会随之合并为老龙居委会，一直沿用。博雅地名网把合并记在2002年8月[1]，而该网的镇沿革页写的是2001年12月新龙镇并入[3]，二者相差数月。社区得名于一座旧庙老龙庙，邻近的老龙村名称同源[1][4]。

荣誉[edit]

老龙社区在2024年1月被确定为广东省2023年度民主法治示范村（社区）[1]。
