历史沿革[edit]
当地说法：最先迁来坪田定居的是乌迳的叶姓族人，老宅是最早建起的村子，因而得名[1][2]。其组织可溯至1949年的老宅农会，后经合作社、大队、乡、管理区，1998年改设村民委员会[1]。
经济[edit]
村有耕地1010亩，旱地占250亩；收入靠种养，但不稳定（村情材料，未注明年份）[1]。
姓氏宗族[edit]
叶姓：据村名由来的说法，叶姓族人自乌迳迁来，是坪田最早的定居者[2]。
荣誉[edit]
老宅村名列广东省2018年度民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位（2019年9月公布）[1]。
