村名来自村委会的所在：村委会设在回龙，故以回龙为村名。[1]此后的变迁依次是：1953年回龙乡，1954年回龙农业合作社，1962年回龙农场，1963年改称大队，1984年改村委会，1987年一度称管理区，1998年又称村委会。[1]
