中冲村是乳源瑶族自治县大桥镇的行政村，村委会驻地在镇域北部，与镇政府驻地相距25公里，到县城60公里。村下设2个自然村，共115户、639人。[1]村名的来历：村处在山冲之中，位置居中，故名中冲。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

建国之初这里是中冲乡，1958年成为中冲大队；中冲乡政府成立于1983年，三年后改称中冲村委会，1989年又叫管理区，1998年恢复村委会之名，此后未变。[1]

经济[edit]

该村555亩耕地、2500亩山林，种植以种水稻、玉米和养猪，收入主要靠外出务工；2008年村民人均年收入为3218元。[1]

荣誉[edit]

  • 2019年9月入选「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位名单」。[1]
  • 2020年8月列入「首批广东省一村一品、一镇一业专业村」（禾花鱼）。[1]
