坝仔是翁源县坝仔镇镇中心区的社区，镇政府所在的圩镇，因圩镇建在河中石坝上而称“坝仔圩”。[1]

地名由来[edit]

圩场所在原是河中的石坝。清乾隆年间有人在坝上开设“恒年烟店”，店铺逐渐增多，居民集资修了花桥和白马庙，形成小圩镇，因建于石坝上得名“坝仔圩”，后来推广为行政区名称。[2]
