坝仔镇在广东省韶关市翁源县东北部，下辖坝仔、岩庄2个社区和22个行政村，镇政府设在坝仔街。[1][4][5]全镇面积约383平方千米，是翁源县面积最大的乡镇；第七次全国人口普查时常住人口约2.96万人。[2][4]镇以兰花、茶叶等农业为主，境内有岩庄八角庙、下角垄遗址和核工业741矿建筑群等文物保护单位。[1][6][7][8]
历史沿革[edit]
明代，镇域属宜阳乡。清代这里分设芙蓉铺和茶园铺。民国二十六年（1937年），铺制改为乡制，归翁源县第三区管辖。到1949年，镇域一部分属展旗乡，一部分属茶园乡。此后行政建制依次是：1958年坝仔公社，1983年坝仔区，1986年坝仔镇；2004年，原岩庄镇并入。[2]
镇名来自圩场。圩场所在原是河中的一片石坝，清乾隆年间有人在坝上开了一间“恒年烟店”，此后店铺渐多；人们又集资修建花桥和白马庙，逐渐形成小圩镇，因建在石坝上而称“坝仔圩”，后来成为行政区的名称。[2]
地理环境[edit]
镇域在翁源县东北，东面是龙仙镇，西面和南面是江尾镇，北面隔界与始兴县司前镇相对；据县政府网站，镇境还与河源市连平县、江西省全南县相邻，离县城龙仙镇约23公里。[1][4]全镇面积据县政府网站为382.96平方千米，其他资料记为384平方千米，在翁源县各乡镇中最大。[1][2][4]
武深高速公路、国道G220线和省道S245线经过镇境。[1][4]镇情介绍称，林地有47万多亩，耕地5.6万亩，森林覆盖率约72%；2011年12月，坝仔镇的集体林权制度改革代表翁源县参加广东省验收，评为优秀。[3]
人口民族[edit]
第七次全国人口普查（2020年）时，坝仔镇常住人口约2.96万人，在翁源县各乡镇中居第4位。[2][4]博雅地名网转载的镇情介绍（未注年份）称，农业人口48954人，占总人口52728人的九成多；这是户籍口径，与常住人口相差较大。[3]
经济[edit]
农业是坝仔镇的主业。县政府网站介绍，兰花种植约3500亩，有50多家经营主体；茶园约3800亩，以金鸡茶和珠江源茶为主；另产三华李、九仙桃和灵芝。[1]较早的镇情介绍描述的农业布局是：柑橙种在南部，茶叶在北部，东北部种梅李，西部种甘蔗和桑树，中部种蔬菜，公路沿线和山上种林竹；特产还有香菇、木耳、冬笋等。[3]
地区生产总值，据百度百科为15.21亿元（2017年）；县政府网站则说2025年为11.99亿元，比上年增长6.5%，公共财政预算收入约9246万元，22个行政村的集体经济收入都在25万元以上。两个数字年份不同，口径是否一致未见说明。[1][4]2019年末，镇内有工业企业54个。[4]
文化[edit]
镇情介绍记载，坝仔镇建有文化站1个、文化宫（室）6个，民间自编自演的节目有舞鲤鱼、舞蚌、舞火猫、舞纸马、抬花轿，以及舞狮、舞龙、舞船、舞磨石、舞鸡等；芙蓉村还组建了歌舞队。[3]
金鸡茶（翁坝金鸡茶）产于金鸡村，始产于明嘉靖年间，县政府网站称其为明朝贡茶，有近500年历史。[1][9]
名胜古迹[edit]
据县政府网站，镇内县级以上文物保护单位共8处，岩庄八角庙和坝仔花桥在其中。[1]岩庄八角庙始建于清康熙四十年（1701年），为五层八角的砖石塔，高26.7米，据介绍是翁源县现存最高的古塔，为县级文物保护单位。[6]下角垄遗址在芙蓉村龙埂岽西坡，年代从新石器时代晚期到汉代，面积约3000平方米，1985年公布为县级文物保护单位。[7]
中洞村小礤自然村的741矿工业建筑群，来自国营441矿（1959年3月成立），该矿自1964年元旦起改名741矿；群内文物建筑12处，已列入第十批广东省文物保护单位。[8]县政府网站称其为广东核工业教育基地。[1]此外，镇情介绍提到一心村的八角塔、古井和得月楼为县级文物保护对象。[3]
