历史沿革[edit]
1949年10月曲江县人民政府成立后，这里属马坝乡、第一区；1950年2月转入第六区。[1]
地名由来[edit]
村在樟市镇南部，「约」取博文约礼之意，故称南约。[1]
经济[edit]
耕地方面，水田4600多亩，旱地2300多亩，鱼塘近200亩；作物以优质谷、花生、蚕茧为主（博雅地名网）。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，南约村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
