中西村为广州市增城区正果镇所辖的行政村，现有人口3247人（593户），分25个自然村。[1]村名是新中国成立后组建农业生产合作社时得的：村子在正果的西部，分上西、中西、下西，村民委员会设在中西。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期属增城县第三区梅江乡；建国后先编入新五区的正西乡；1954年组建初级社，1956年组建光明高级社，1958年改称光明大队，1981年10月改称中西大队；1983年11月恢复中西乡，1987年初乡改为村，组建中西村民委员会。[1]

现状与荣誉[edit]

增龙公路和增从高速经过村境，村内有小学、市场等设施。2024年11月被认定为「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」；2025年6月被认定为「2024年度广州市级美丽乡村」；2026年1月获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1]
