村名与历史[edit]
这里原是增江河与乌头石水冲积出的河滩地，景色被比作杭州西湖，村名由此而来。清末建村；西湖滩大队在1973年由蒙布大队析出设立，1983年社改为乡，1987年初乡改为村，组建西湖滩村民委员会。[1]
人口[edit]
博雅地名网记全村总人口23人；百度百科词条则同时写有总人口23人和人口551人，两处出入很大，未见更可靠的统计。[1][3]
师爷山[edit]
师爷山位于村内西湖滩森林公园，临增江，海拔239.9米，被当作广州市辖境最东的日出观赏点。山顶的师爷庙供奉增城传说中的道士钟法进师爷，庙始建于明初，后毁于战火，九十年代中叶复建，农历四月十五是师爷诞日。2022年镇里对山上环境做了升级，新建游客中心等设施。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，西湖滩村列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单。[1]
