池田村为广州市增城区正果镇所辖的行政村，位于镇中部，下辖池田、鹤斗两个自然村，人口约736人（139户）。[1][2]村子地势低洼，雨后积水成池，因而得名。[1]

历史[edit]

百度百科记载，村民主要姓陈，元至顺年间（1330—1333）从圭湖迁来；村内留有岭南风格的祠堂等老建筑。[2]民国时期属增城县第二区圭岳乡；1957年组建群星高级社，1958年划归圭湖大队；1977年春经批准分出，成立池田大队；1983年撤社建池田乡，1987年初乡改为村，组建池田村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，池田村获“广州名村”（2020年度）称号；2021年12月获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]百度百科称它2023年入选《「广州市地名保护名录（第二批）」》。[2]
