钟楼村是广州市从化区太平镇下辖的行政村，村委会设在镇域北部。[1] 全村面积约2平方千米，下设8个经济社，村委会介绍的人口为1298人、农户325户（该介绍未注明年份）。村委会距从化城区约13公里，距太平镇区约11公里。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村后有一座形似钟的山，叫金钟岭，含「楼上吊金楼」之意，村名遂定为钟楼。[1]

据博雅地名网，1958年建立钟楼大队，到1983年12月归入井岗，称为井岗乡，到1987年1月分出后改名钟楼村民委员会，此名沿用到现在。[1]

据村委会介绍，村里的生计是：栽种荔枝、龙眼；种水稻、花生，也有村民外出务工。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

钟楼古村落是欧阳氏族人在清咸丰年间建成的大宅院群，建筑面积近15000平方米。[1][2] 村落采用典型的广府梳式布局：七列主体建筑平行排开，以欧阳仁山公祠为中轴线，左四巷、右三巷；巷两侧的民居是三间两廊式，每排七间，七路共49户，相邻人家可以互相照应，称为「守望相助」。[3] 村域面积1.837平方千米。[2] 钟楼村在2013年8月26日公布为第二批中国传统村落。[2] 博雅地名网称钟楼古村落是「广州市第一批历史文化保护区」。[1]

从化区人民政府于2015年发布的历史建筑与传统风貌建筑推荐线索名单中，列有本村的传统民居群、炮楼，共2处。名单所列只是普查线索，不等于已定级的文物。[4]
