菜地塱村隶属广东省广州市从化区太平镇，为镇辖行政村，村委会设在镇域北部。[1] 全村面积约1500亩，下设10个经济社，村委会介绍的人口为2568人、农户600户（该介绍未注明年份）。村委会距从化城区约17公里，距太平镇区约13公里。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，1958年建立菜地塱大队，到1987年1月改名菜地塱村村民委员会，此名沿用到现在。[1]

荣誉与名单

  • 2021年12月，菜地塱村获「2021年广东省卫生村」荣誉称号（广东省爱卫会）。[1]
  • 2024年11月，菜地塱村被认定为「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」。[1]

经济[edit]

据村委会介绍，村里的生计是：栽种荔枝、龙眼；种水稻、花生，也有村民外出务工。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

从化区人民政府于2015年发布的历史建筑与传统风貌建筑推荐线索名单中，列有本村的传统民居群、邓氏公祠、新园罔门楼，共3处。名单所列只是普查线索，不等于已定级的文物。[2]
