历史沿革[edit]
居委会于2002年8月成立，2005年5月园丰、沙园两个社区合并为现社区[1][2]。曾获广东省「六好」平安和谐社区、番禺区巾帼建功先进集体等称号；2024年11月列入广州市充分就业社区（村）名单[1][2]。
地理环境[edit]
社区北至平康路，南至清河路，西接环城东路，东接德兴路，占地约22.2万平方米，绿化约1万平方米[2]。
人口民族[edit]
社区共有2059户，6908人；按户籍计为2416户、6383人；有外来暂住人口656人，出租屋344间（博雅地名网所载，未注明年份）[2]。
经济[edit]
物业公司管理的有珠江商贸中心、东苑小区、兴龙大厦以及海关、工商两处宿舍，沙园新村和园丰小区由居委会直接管理，另有清河一街、平康一巷、德胜一巷等散居街巷；单位店铺共536间[2]。
