华侨城社区是广州市番禺区市桥街道下辖的社区，位于街道西南面，名称取自辖内的华侨城小区，是街道内规模较大的社区之一[1][2]。

历史沿革[edit]

社区自2002年3月命名以来沿用至今。2019年9月，它入选2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单，2021年11月被确定为广州市2021年绿色社区[1]。

地理环境[edit]

社区东至西丽路，南至长堤路，西临沙头涌，北至环城路，占地约21.4万平方米，绿化约5万平方米。2008年8月，原航运新村改建成西丽公园，约2.5万平方米的绿地在社区范围内[2]。

人口民族[edit]

社区有住宅楼41幢、居民小组79个、住户4687户，户籍6591人，常住11274人，外来人口1253人（博雅地名网所载，未注明年份）[2]。

经济[edit]

辖区内多数是封闭式管理小区，常住人口中不少是在外省购房后迁入。社区内有西丽小学和泰兴隆商场；曾被确定为市桥街社区警务室进社区的试点单位[2]。
