南湾社区是广州市黄埔区穗东街道下辖的社区，约0.98平方千米，居街道中部：东面夏园社区，西面庙头社区，南面是广州经济技术开发区。社区原称南基，2007年改名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年以前，这里属七社堡乡，也叫十五方；之后一度归禺东五区。南湾大队设于1958年，1976年又叫回南基大队，1987年改为南基村民委员会。到2002年，村委会让位于南基社区居委会，2007年5月1日区政府批准其更名为南湾社区居委会。[1]

地理环境[edit]

南湾位于东江与珠江交汇处，西距南海神庙约1.5公里，临近地铁5号线和13号线的夏园站，有“广州小周庄”之称的水乡风貌。[3]

经济[edit]

黄埔区政府网站报道，南湾旧村改造项目的实施方案已获批，用地57.48万平方米，计划以“南湾文旅小镇”保护并活化文物与历史建筑，同时带动南海神庙片区的旅游开发。[3]

人口民族[edit]

社区简介里，户籍人口约2600人，外来流动人员约3000人，另有7个经济社和50余家企业，年份未注明。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

据社区简介，辖内留有古祠堂、南安市旧址、秋枫古堤、常春岩、龙泉古井和护龙古庙，历史上陈白沙、湛若水、李鳌峰等人曾在此办学。[1]其中南湾麦氏宗祠列第九批广州市文物保护单位；常春岩的明代摩崖石刻，则于2008年12月入选第七批。[1][2]
