下塘社区是广东省广州市越秀区登峰街道下辖的社区，在街道的西部，居民委员会设于麓景西路。[1] 社区名取自下塘地名：这一带原属甘溪谷地，元代已有下塘村。[1] 下塘与上塘本是麓湖一带蓄水的两处池塘，今麓湖在上塘，下塘在其南。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

五十年代初，这里是登峰村辖下的下塘自然村。1987年设下塘居委会，当时由天河区的登峰街管理；到2005年转归越秀区，社区名称没有变。[1] 1989年设立的宝汉社区居委会，前身也是下塘居委会的一部分。[3]

近况[edit]

登峰村整治提升项目的改造范围包括下塘和横枝岗两个社区，其中下塘片区约9.29公顷，一期以这一片区为主。[4] 社区入选「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」，并在2019年9月公布的名单中，列为2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位。[1]
