梅花村街道是广东省广州市越秀区下辖的街道，位于区的东部，东以广州大道同天河区相邻，南面到共和八巷、东兴南路一线，西至福今路、达道路，北达东风东路、天河路。辖区面积约1.73平方千米，下辖15个社区，街道办事处设在梅花路6号。[1][2][3]

街道名称来自民国时期规划的住宅区梅花村，1986年1月设立。[2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

清代，这一带属番禺县鹿步巡检司。1905年（光绪三十一年）巡警总局改组，改属新城区；1910年（宣统二年）又改属警察四区。1921年广州市政厅成立后，归东山区公所管理。[2][3]

20世纪50年代以前，辖区一带仍是城郊农村。1953年，衡阳铁路局迁到广州，在原共和墟一带以「自建公助」的方式修建职工家属区。[2]1949年以后，辖区先后分属农林、东湖、黄花岗三个街道，杨箕村一带则归原广州市郊区。1986年1月，梅花村街道办事处成立。[2][3]2005年8月1日，因行政区划调整，杨箕社区由天河区天河南街道划归东山区梅花村街道。[2]

梅花村与街名由来[edit]

梅花村前身是福音村，由基督教徒何礼匡、冯活泉最先开发，南北向的道路原名福音路，即今天的福今路。两人早逝后，国民政府收回土地，在此建设模范住宅区。改造工程由曾留学美国的广州市长林云陔主持，参照英国的田园都市式住宅区，住宅由袁梦鸿、陈启元、罗明橘等人设计。该区初名安老院南模范住宅区，后称模范村，再称梅花村。[2]

对村名的由来有两种说法：一说1928年陈济棠建官邸并栽种梅树，1932年建成后冬季梅花盛开，故名；另一说国民政府时期高级军官的大礼服以梅花和金辫区分等级，达官显贵聚居于此，被戏称为梅花村。[2][3]陈济棠、孙科、余汉谋、林云陔、李汉魂等二十多位军政人物先后在这里建起西式楼房。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

陈济棠公馆在中山一路中段北侧，是一幢四层的近代花园式楼房，占地约5610平方米，保存至今，1993年8月被公布为广州市文物保护单位。[2]1949年7月至9月，国民党中常会曾多次在此召开会议。[2]梅花村69号、29号两处建筑列入广州市历史建筑名单。[2]

明代成化年间的南京工部尚书戴缙与夫人合葬在象栏岗，1957年（一说1956年）发现，为分室合葬，出土文物六十件。[2]

经济[edit]

街道紧邻广州大道，与珠江新城相隔一条路。地铁10号线杨箕东站上盖建有外商新天地，辖区内另有289艺术园区。2023年至2025年，街道对2000年以前建成的楼房进行改造，涉及6266户居民；并培育了5家专精特新「小巨人」企业。[4]

文化[edit]

2009年，街道出资约4000万元整修街容，栽种百余棵梅树，并借助附近的广东省气象局，在福今路建设气象科普街。[2]近年街道以「梅花四季香」为文化品牌，连续两年举办居民自编自演的「村晚」，推动「北帝行乡」、龙舟等民俗项目，并建有市、区、街三级共建的粤剧非遗传习所。[4]
