历史沿革[edit]
杨箕村据称始建于明末。清同治年间至民国，村子的平面形似扬谷用的簸箕，曾称簸箕村或扬箕村，民国后期起写作「杨箕」；另一说认为村名原为茔基村，因村中有杨桃园，为避免重名才改成杨箕。[1]
20世纪50年代以后，杨箕一带先属沙河公社，后属原广州市郊区，80年代地段全部城市化。1986年杨箕划归梅花村街道，设杨箕内、杨箕外两个居委会，2002年合并为杨箕居委会。[1][2]
2005年8月1日，广州市行政区划调整，杨箕社区居委会由天河区天河南街道改划东山区梅花村街道。同年东山区并入越秀区。[2]
经济与文化[edit]
杨箕保留有村级集体经济组织。2025年的一篇政府报道提到，街道、杨箕村联社与辖区内的289艺术园区、外商新天地等商业园区共同商议错位发展；外商新天地建在地铁10号线杨箕东站上盖，经地下通道连通珠江新城。[3]
街道推动「北帝行乡」等民俗项目与当代生活结合。[3]
