海龙街道在广州市荔湾区西南部，东面与东漖街道接壤，南面与中南街道相邻，西、北两面隔水同佛山市南海区相望，面积约9.5平方千米。[1][2]街道办事处设在龙溪大道288号。[1]第七次全国人口普查时，辖区人口为7.04万人，在荔湾区各街道中排第7位，面积则居区内各街道之首。[2]街道下辖增滘、海北、龙溪、龙湾、大和、江北、步漖、西浦、凤池9个社区。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

早年街道一带归芳村区管辖，2005年芳村区并入荔湾区，也就成了荔湾区的一部分。[1][2]街道的前身是东漖镇的海龙围片区，名称取自沿佛山水道修筑的海龙堤围，海北、龙溪两条自然村就依着堤围建起。[2]

据《东漖镇志》，1951年原芳村区政府组织修筑芳村围、葵蓬围，海龙围同时动工，当时这一带还归南海县管辖；此后十多年里，三条堤围不断加高、加宽、加固，周边免受严重的洪涝。[3]

地理环境[edit]

海龙围四面临水，被花地河和三支香水道环绕，北、东与茶滘、东沙一带相邻，西、南隔水与佛山的盐步、南海相望。[3]当地人认为，“海”指海北、海中、海南，“龙”指龙溪；远古时芳村尚未连成陆地，海北一带称“芙蓉沙”，是芳村较早见于记载的地名之一。[3]荔湾区把这一带规划为海龙围科创区，在南片的西南端，面积约17平方千米，花地河绕过东、北两侧，对岸西、南方向是佛山南海，环城高速从中穿过。[4]

经济[edit]

芳村在20世纪八九十年代大力发展花木，海龙围当时归东漖镇，农业随之改种花卉，龙溪大道沿线曾遍种茉莉花，花农上午采摘，下午交给香料厂收购。[3]2000年前后广州花卉博览园建成，这里的花卉业转为种植与集散并重。[3]近年荔湾区在此布局海龙围科创区，导入科技产业。[3][4]

统计显示，2011年工业总产值为13.91亿元，较上年增长2.7%，社会消费品零售额为25.85亿元，增长11.7%。[1]

文化[edit]

龙舟在当地很受重视：龙溪、增滘、海北、海中、海南五个经济联社下的村子大多自备龙舟，农历四月起便陆续办起“起龙船”“龙舟景”“龙船饭”等仪式，历时月余。龙溪沙溪景龙舟赛已有50多年历史，每年有数十支广佛两地的龙舟队报名，设有折返竞速项目。[3]

社会事务[edit]

2019年起，街道先后在辖区设置60个垃圾分类投放点，后经精简，城中村内保留32个，并配上洗手盆、雨棚和照明。[5]
