溪头村位于管阳镇西南部，面积8.02平方公里，东邻西阳村，南接元潭村，北与楮楼村相连。村名因地处雁溪上游而得。[1][2]

村子距管阳镇13公里，平均海拔520米。村中雁溪一带是第四纪冰川遗迹所在，河道多次急转弯，形成「牛轭」状弯道，村内的雁溪景区即在此。[2][3]
