北门村是甘棠镇下辖的行政村，位于镇区北端，104国道贯穿村中，东临赛江，西北依莲花山。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村庄位于甘棠的东北部，因此得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

该地原为三塘拱宸保，之后组建过生产合作社，也是闽东革命暴动的发源地之一。公社化运动中，这里在1958年组建了北门生产大队；1984年大队撤销，改为村民委员会。[1][2]

概况[edit]

据博雅地名网概况，村内有11个村民小组，村民776户、2796人，占地约3.2平方公里。村里有集体茶园600亩，北门茶厂的茉莉花茶与绿茶曾被福建省消费委员会评为名茶。[3]

荣誉[edit]

本村于2024年1月获评「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1] 村子曾获福建省人民政府授予的「明星村」「文明村」称号。[3]
