北门社区是汕头市金平区金砂街道下辖的社区，居委会设在金湖路106号，辖6个居民小组。[1][2]社区名称取自它在金砂乡的北面位置。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

社区原属金园区金砂街道。2002年1月居委会作了调整：北门原有的一部分地域划给金丰居委会，西门的一部分又并进来，成为今天的北门社区。2003年3月起由金砂街道管辖。[1]

地理与人口[edit]

从金平区人民政府驻地向西北走约1.1千米即到。社区北沿金湖路，南靠北门池巷，西边是汕樟路一侧的东门外巷，总面积0.22平方千米。博雅地名网列出的数字是1648户、1948人；产业以批发零售、住宿餐饮为主，汕樟路、金湖路和金新路穿过其间。[1][2]
