1958年这一带属西北门大队；1986年北门单独设村委会，1989年称管理区，1996年起称北门村民委员会。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
据百度百科，贵生书院位于北门村，为汤显祖倡建，始建于明万历年间，清道光年间重修；院内存《院规条》碑等碑刻，门前的明代石道与书院一同列为广东省文物保护单位。[2]
