西园村位于上白石镇北部，与潭头镇接壤，隶属上白石镇。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村子海拔850米，距镇政府驻地16公里，村辖土地5.077平方公里，森林覆盖率在九成以上。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历：村址在一处园林的西面，村名由此而来。[2]

1950年初属西园乡，1954年划入第九区，1956年并入上白石区的姜尾乡。1980年6月恢复西园大队，1984年改为西园村委会。[2]

人口民族[edit]

据2022年12月发布的村情简介，村民339户、1500余人，共7个村民小组，下辖山后1个自然村。[1]

经济[edit]

村民以种粮、太子参、采摘茶叶和外出务工为生，村内茶园约1000亩，并有一家茶叶初制厂。[1]
