渡头村在牙城镇西北部，距镇区约9公里，辖渡头、田古后、田头、下村和船头五个自然村。常住人口约1050人，全村383户、1492人。村民以水果种植和旅游服务为主。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名来自村前的渡口，据博雅地名网所载。[2]

1958年设渡头生产大队，1984年改称渡头村，并设立村民委员会。[2]

福建省农业农村厅于2022年10月将渡头村认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」；2023年10月，该村入选「2023年福建省金牌旅游村」名单；2025年11月，被认定为「福建省第二批省级乡村振兴示范村」。[2]
