高山村村名由来有两段。明清时期，洪姓人家先在此定居，因地处高山，称「洪高山」；后有邓姓迁入，洪氏衰绝，村名简称为「高山」。村子在拱桥镇北部，海拔750米。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1942年这里划归漳平县，设为新安乡高山保；1943年并入永福镇，1949年初改称新安乡高山村。1950年至1952年后属党泰区，称高山乡，后并入拱桥乡。1958年成为党泰公社下的高山大队。1961年起改归拱桥公社。1984年，本村以「高山村」之名归拱桥乡管辖；1995年3月乡改镇，隶属不变。[1]

2021年1月，被命名为「2020年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」；2024年1月，被命名为「2023年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村子地处拱桥镇北部，与永福镇、桂林街道接壤。全村土地面积17平方千米，耕地574亩，山地20703亩。[1]

全村总户数272户，常住人口971人。[1]

经济[edit]

村内煤炭蕴藏丰富，煤矿企业共2家。林产以毛竹与杉木为主，此外有茶油、石蛙和蜂蜜。[1]
