渡头村位于白沙镇南东部，在203县道对面，距龙岩中心城区约50公里，是一个小丘陵村庄。村名源于旧时溪上无桥、靠渡船往来，渡船停靠之处即为村头。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放前为渡头保。1952年设渡头村，1957年组成渡星高级社，次年划为白沙公社的渡星大队。1960年体制合并，1981年复称渡头大队；1984年改称白沙乡渡头村委会，1995年12月起称白沙镇渡头村委会。[1]

文化[edit]

2022年12月，福建省农业农村厅将本村确定为「2022年度福建省“一村一品”专业村（花生）」。[1]
