溪头村是革命老区的基点村，位于外屯乡东南部。村东靠澄源乡境，南与镇前镇接壤，并与佛子山风景区相连。村部距乡政府所在地15.6千米。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1990年以前，村部设在墓林下自然村；同年之后，村部迁往黄龙溪村，并在那里新建了办公楼、学校，修通公路。[1][2]

全村设5个村民小组，下辖8个自然村。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

村域土地总面积约2.3万亩，其中有生态公益林、毛竹山、林山、茶园与锥栗林等。[1]
