北门社区是福建省南平市顺昌县双溪街道下辖的社区，位于县城北面，是城区的北部边缘。居委会2000年10月26日成立，辖区内有城北路与后山路两条主要道路。[1]

地名由来[edit]

居委会辖地在城区北面，故名北门。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

2000年10月26日，北门居民委员会设立，起初隶属双溪镇。2006年5月双溪镇与水南镇合并，社区随之改隶双溪街道。[1]

概况[edit]

社区占地约64万平方米，下设10个居民小组，常住1695户、4824人。辖区内有16个单位，设有工会与妇代会等群团组织。[1]

博雅地名网称，社区集金融、教育、执法、建筑、水利、电力、林业与服装加工等行业于一地，是顺昌城区政治、经济与生活拓展的重要部分。[1]
