溪头村是麻沙镇下辖的革命老区基点村，位于镇域西北部，北与武夷山市相接，南面为长坪村[1][2]。村名的来历：村头有溪，竹排至此便不能再前行，故名溪头[2]。

概况[edit]

村辖溪头、墩头、油坪、兰源、吕墩与杭上六个自然村，共9个村民小组，计360户、1530人[2][3]。

竹溪自南至北贯穿村域，村内水泥公路全长13公里，连接各自然村[3]。

以粮食、竹木、食用菌生产为主，境内森林覆盖率在全镇居首，竹木加工条件较好[3]。

历史沿革[edit]

溪头村在解放前叫溪头保，隶属长坪乡。新中国成立后归杜潭乡，村名未变；1958年改由长坪公社统辖，称溪头大队[2]。

1964年起隶属麻沙公社，名称不变；1984年改设溪头村村民委员会[2]。

革命历史[edit]

1930年2月，村中成立苏维埃政府并组建游击队。村旧称「竹溪垅」，为闽北革命老区基点村[2]。溪头小学内辟有竹溪垅革命历史展览室[3]。

文化[edit]

龙济道院烧香顶石屋位于村中，时代为清代，为县级文物保护单位[2]。道院始建于唐代贞观年间，内设灵官殿、三清殿、元君殿与观音殿[3]。
