山尾村是延平区王台镇下辖的行政村，位于镇域西南部，距集镇约12公里。村名的来历：村庄处在山麓的末端，故称山尾。博雅地名网称该村古有「七仙下凡」的传说。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1657年（清顺治十四年）此地属太平里，1936年称山尾保，隶属溪后乡。民国末年划入台溪镇，新中国成立后设山尾乡，1958年改称山尾大队。此后隶属有过几次调整，1984年后归王台乡，1991年改为镇建制。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

1987年，王台镇首家村级公园在山尾村建成，园内有龙腾阁、肖山亭和黄源阁。[2]

文化[edit]

2024年1月，山尾村获「2023年福建省卫生村」称号。1990年，该村被评为市级文明村。[2]
