江边村位于南山镇东部，面积为0.4787万亩，共220户、838人，下辖1个自然村。村委会驻江边，因地处涧水边而得名。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

据《南平市志·地名志》（1993年），村委会驻江边，地处涧水之畔，原名「浆边」，1958年改为今名。明洪武元年（1368年）属普安里，清代沿袭。民国时期隶属大凤镇，称浆边保，此后属凤山镇。1954年一度设浆边乡，1956年归折竹乡，1958年称江边大队，1961年设江边公社，1963年并入大凤公社，1984年改为江边村村民委员会，1992年归南山镇。[1][2]

名胜古迹[edit]

村中的火映垅古道、魏氏与谢氏两座宗祠以及摩崖石刻，都是清代遗存，列入2012年名录。江口水尾廊桥为明代建筑，列为区级文物保护单位。[3]

文化[edit]

1987年，江边村被福建省评定为老区村。[1]
