溪头村位于夏道镇的山区，距南平市区约20公里，北与西芹镇禾村相邻。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村内多竹林，属高山村之一，辖三个自然村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村委会设于溪头，村庄位于一条小溪的源头，村名由此而来。[2]

明清时归罗源里所辖。1934年列为第一区的辖地，1941年并入第一区鸠洋乡的田地保。解放后，1949年至1957年间由第四区鸠上乡管理；1958年设溪头大队；1963年转入夏道公社，1984年归夏道镇。[3]

2021年11月，村庄被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
