白石村位于安厚镇中北部，东与龙门、顶楼两村接壤，距镇政府约0.5公里，辖6个自然村、7个村民小组。村内有省级文物保护单位向文书院。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

1961年，白石自南门大队析出，成立白石大队，队址设在白石自然村，故有此名；1984年改为白石村委会。此前的1958年它隶属安厚公社的南门大队，1950年归第五区安厚乡，1945年则属平南乡白石保。[1]

地理环境[edit]

全村面积3.52平方千米，其中水田940亩，山地1380亩。东川水库的御洪溪道流经村境。[1]

2024年6月，「福建省第四批高级版绿盈乡村」名单公布，白石村上榜。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

向文书院又称炉峰书院，始建于明正德十二年（1517年），清乾隆二十三年（1758年）经县令胡邦翰主持重修，次年落成，现为福建省第十批省级文物保护单位，2020年11月19日由福建省人民政府公布。据《平和县志》所载，书院主祀朱熹和王阳明，配祀文昌君。[1][3]
