山边村位于南靖县山城镇境内，村落位于燕山一侧，故名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村地解放前归靖城乡，解放后改属二区东田乡。1958年转入丰田农场，1959年回到山城镇辖下，1961年与东田分开，单独设立大队。[1]

文化[edit]

2021年6月，山边村名列福建省第四批省级传统村落名单。[1]
