中山社区隶属南安市溪美街道，位于市区中心的西南部。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

社区名称来自中山街。1937年南安县治从丰州迁到溪美，此时新辟一条街道，为纪念孙中山而命名为中山街。[2]

社区原为西南街居委会，1980年12月改称中山街居民委员会。博雅地名网在两处分别记作2000年和2003年成立中山社区居委会。[2][3]

经济[edit]

社区内有第一市场，是一座农贸市场；辖区内还有多家市直机关单位。[2]
