历史沿革[edit]
村以村委会驻地中山自然村得名。[2]1971年9月，乐昌县五山公社的中山生产大队划入烟青人民公社，后来分成中山、前洞两个村。[3]新中国成立后设中山乡，1958年改称中山大队，1984年复称乡，1986年称村委会，1989年又设管理区，1998年撤管理区、重设村委会，名称沿用至今。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
三磨石又称三帽石，距镇中心约11公里，其中7公里有乡道，其余靠步行。半山腰依巨石建有灵溪仙，有天然泉水；山顶有象鼻山、小南天一柱等奇石。[4]
文化[edit]
2019年9月，中山村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
