西园街道位于福建省泉州市晋江市中心市区的西北部，东南与梅岭、罗山两个街道相接，西面与磁灶镇为邻，北面是池店镇。[1][4]

街道于2003年11月设立，由原青阳镇析出的村与原磁灶镇析出的村合并组成。名称出自当初的规划：境内拟设教育、汽车工业和蔬菜基地三类园区，且位于中心市区之西，故称「西园」。[3][4]

辖区内既有大专院校，也有古墓、古宅、石塔和水利设施等文物。[1][8]

历史沿革[edit]

2003年11月，晋江市调整区划，原青阳镇的王厝、屿头、霞浯、后间、赖厝、烧厝、苏塘7个村，以及原磁灶镇的砌田、车厝、小桥、官前4个村，并入新设的西园街道。[3][4]

2004年至2006年间，这些村的村民委员会陆续撤销，改设为11个社区居民委员会。[2][3]

地理环境[edit]

街道位于晋江市区西北部，沈海高速、泉南高速穿越辖区，迎宾路、晋明路、晋光路与双龙路、博览大道共同组成主要路网。[1]

九十九溪是金鸡溪的支流，流经辖区。[15][16]

人口民族[edit]

2020年流动人口为9375人。[1]

经济[edit]

辖区企业主要涉及汽车配件、钢结构、卫生材料和现代物流等产业，2020年规模以上企业有23家。[1]

文化[edit]

2021年发布的街道简介称，辖区学校共24所，其中大专院校为泉州轻工学院，职业中专为晋江华侨职校，中学为晋江市远华中学。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

2023年，晋江本地报纸报道称，街道内共有文物保护单位12处，其中晋江市级8处，一般文物点4处，分布在崎山公园、田园九九等地。[8]

淞江斗门位于王厝社区泉厦高速池店右线特大桥西侧，是晋江市第三批市级文物保护单位。据记载，该斗门始建于宋嘉定二年（1209年），现存的花岗岩条石结构为明永乐十五年（1417年）重修，长8.7米、宽2.9米，旁有明代重修碑一通。[7][8][14]

刘埯塔在砌田社区，建于明代，为方形三层石塔，通高3.84米，西面刻「明万历丙午年六月建」，位于崎山公园玫瑰园附近，是晋江市第二批市级文物保护单位。[6][8]

屿头洪富宅位于屿头社区，始建于明嘉靖年间，现存建筑为近年重修，由三座三开间两落的大厝并列而成。2019年9月公布为第六批市级文物保护单位。[9]

洪富（1488—1560）为屿头洪氏人，明嘉靖八年（1529年）进士，官至四川布政使司参政。[8][9]

洪富墓位于屿头社区双龙路旁，为明代古墓葬，属市级文物保护单位，2007年列入第四批。[6][11]

王起教宅在车厝社区，清光绪年间始建（1893年），建筑面积5328平方米，兼有中西合璧的风格，为市级文物保护单位。宅主王起教（1863—1928）是旅菲侨商、实业家。[6][8][10][17]

浯里裕后铭碑在霞浯社区北区，为明代石刻，高2.36米、宽0.61米，由进士吴震交书写并立，碑文告诫后人广植树木。1999年列入第三批市级文物保护单位。[6][8][12]

李英（李五）墓在烧厝社区南面池店山的半山腰，始建于明天顺元年（1457年）。墓主李英是明代富商、慈善家，曾捐资增高洛阳桥的桥墩、重修六里陂。该墓为市级文物保护单位，属第三批（1999年）。[6][8][13]

赖厝紫霄宫位于赖厝社区，始建于明正德年间，供奉玄天上帝，现存三开间两落，保存民国铁钟和名匾。2019年列入第六批市级文物保护单位。[5][6][8]

此外，赖厝社区的赖氏家庙（始建于明洪武年间，明正德年间重修）、苏塘社区的苏塘新厝厅、霞浯社区的吴震交民居（建于明崇祯年间）和屿头社区的洪德会宅（建于清末），都是2023年报道列出的一般文物点。[8]

著名人物[edit]

陈文晖（1570—1653）是晋江廿九都青阳屿头陈厝人，万历庚子年（1600年）中举人，授青田知县，后在鲁东文晖书堂执教。[4]
