旧寨村位于安溪县西北部，海拔650米，距乡政府驻地约10公里。村子古称龟寨，明末改称旧寨。村中保留明代寨堡遗址，茶叶是村中的主要经济来源。[1][4]

地名由来[edit]

村子古称龟寨。古时村民在一座小山顶上修建土木结构的古堡，山形似龟，故称龟寨。明末，村民重修古堡并改名为旧寨，为纪念古堡，将「龟」字改为「旧」字。[1][5]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时属积德乡崇信里旧寨坊，民国时属多卿乡狮寨保。1949年归第十四区双寨乡，1957年并入一个高级农业合作社；1958年编为长坑公社旧寨大队，1961年改隶长坑区多坑公社；1971年归祥华公社；1984年，成为祥华乡旧寨村民委员会。[1][3]

自然与人文[edit]

明末，村民依托古堡，与一伙上千人的盗匪相持30余日，最终取胜。[1][5]

村中保留明代寨堡遗址。[2]

村子所在地自唐宋以来就是传统的产茶区之一，茶叶至今仍是村中的主要经济来源。[4]

荣誉[edit]

2024年10月，村子被确定为「泉州市2024年度市级一村一品专业村」，主导产业为铁观音。[1]
